The Journal was founded in January 1992 by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Physical-Technological Institute of Metals and Alloys of NAS of Ukraine.

The main task of the Journal "Casting Processes" is to publish scientific articles to disseminate the most relevant and important information in the foundry industry.

The Journal is included in the List of scientific professional editions of Ukraine in which the results of the dissertation works for obtaining the scientific degrees of doctor of technical sciences and PhD can be published.

The publication is very popular with scientific and engineering workers of metallurgical and mechanical engineering, industry, and foundry, as well as employees of universities and research institutes.

The journal publishes scientific and technical articles, promotional material and commercial communications.
